What are HUG's fees?

2 min. readlast update: 06.19.2024

You are free to set your own pricing at HUG. For any and all creators who start selling on HUG in 2024, HUG will charge a 6% flat fee (reduced from 15%) to make sure we can keep the platform running smoothly as well as dedicate ongoing resources for customer support and feature improvement.

This fee does not include third-party payment processing fees such as credit card, PayPal, or Coinbase Commerce fees, which will vary depending on the mode of payment selected by the customer.

There are no monthly payments or other hidden charges. HUG also manages shipping and sales tax, which are charged directly to the customer and hence not subject to our platform fee.

Base Prices for Print-on-Demand

For print-on-demand products such as art prints, an additional Base Price will be deducted from your earnings in order to cover manufacturing costs payable to a third-party manufacturer.

When you set your prices, how much you make on the sale of each product will update automatically so that you can price accordingly for a profit that accurately reflects your time, effort, craft, and/or expertise. For clarity, here's how earnings on Print-on-Demand products are calculated.

Product Price (what you set)

- Base Price

- 6% of Product Price

────────────────────────────────

= Amount You Make (excluding third-party payment processing fees)

All Other Products

For all other products, calculation is simple and displayed as follows.

Product Price (what you set)

- 6% of Product Price

= Amount You Make (excluding third-party payment processing fees)

Discounts

HUG's fees as well as how you make are calculated based on what the customer pays after the application of any available discounts.
