Having clear and descriptive product listings is half the battle won when setting up a Shop. After all, you want your potential buyers to be clear about what they are buying. The less you can leave open to interpretation, the better!
Every product listing is made up of four primary components:
- Product Title
- Product Description
- Product Images
- Product Price
Here are some of our tips for optimizing each one:
- Keep Product Titles Clear but Concise: Make sure your Product Titles are concise and to the point, while also being clear about what you are selling. Because HUG allows you to sell so many different product categories, it may be helpful to specify exactly what you are selling.
- For example, A.Karina includes "Art Print" in her Product Title, so any prospective buyer will know exactly what she is selling.
- Write Compelling Descriptions: It is important to craft detailed and engaging product descriptions that highlight your product's key features and benefits. Remember to describe your items accurately while also sharing what makes your product stand out, such as any unique features or special qualities your product may have.
- For example, Wildy Martinez clearly specifies that her digital download comes with 6 coloring sheets which feature fashion and floral illustrations. On top of that, she also mentions its inspiration as an additional selling point.
- Use High-Quality Images: Ensure your product images are clear, high-resolution, and showcase the product from multiple angles.
- When creating a fine art print through HUG's integrated print-on-demand offering, we automatically provide mockups for you to see your print framed or unframed.
- When creating a digital download product, you may want to include as many visuals as possible that helps to describe your product. For example, Jackson Alves' Procreate Brush Pack includes several images of his brushes in use. Not only do his visuals help to draw attention to his product, they also help to build trust in what he is selling.
- Price Competitively: Research market comparables and set prices that are competitive. Attractive pricing can be a decisive factor for customers when choosing between similar products.
